Shamus McCloud’s history with 91-5 Whole Lotta Rock stretches back more than 30 years, to the days when WRKN called Southbury, Connecticut home. He was there when WRKN’s transmitter was switched on for the very first time and played an integral role in the station’s humble beginnings. In the 1990s, he shared the morning show with Bryant Howe and also held down his own 5 PM shift—the original Classic Rock Pub. The show has grown into one of the station’s signature programs, built on great records, good stories and Shamus’s lifelong love of radio. For Shamus, the magic is in going live, finding the perfect record for the moment and turning an ordinary afternoon at the pub into a full-blown rock-and-roll party. He believes we all live our lives to music—and that a single song can instantly carry us back to the people, places and memories connected to it.
Though he now lives in Tennessee and occasionally jokes that retirement is getting closer, Shamus continues to open the Classic Rock Pub every weekday until further notice. He especially enjoys broadcasting live from sports bars, dive bars and neighborhood pubs within 50 miles of home. His roots remain in Woodbury, Connecticut, where he spent most of his life, and surprise trips back home often include a live broadcast from a familiar Connecticut establishment. Away from the microphone, Shamus enjoys hiking the Appalachian Trail with friends, playing with his band Tippton Station, listening to his favorite band Boston and appreciating a good meal out. Big Jack Dalton has spent 40 years behind the microphone, building a career at several prominent rock stations across the Northeast, including stops in the Boston area and Maine. Through every chapter, his favorite part of radio has remained the same: sharing great music, telling a good story and keeping listeners company as they move through their day. Now at 91-5 Whole Lotta Rock, Jack brings that experience—and a deep knowledge of the music—to WRKN.
Jack may be at retirement age, but he is not quite ready to turn off the microphone. Part-time radio gives him the chance to stay connected to the business he loves while still making time for life away from the studio. He enjoys traveling with his wife, spending time with his grandchildren and heading out for a good dinner with a favorite beer. Jack is happy to be part of WRKN and even happier to keep doing what he has loved for four decades: putting great rock on the air.

Lloyd Harris loves radio because it brings people together through music. He first became interested in the industry after realizing that a great radio host can do more than introduce a song—he can create a connection, set the mood for someone’s drive home and make listeners feel like they are part of something. That personal connection is still what keeps Lloyd excited every time he turns on the microphone.
A lifelong rock fan, Lloyd enjoys everything from classic riffs and deep album cuts to hard rock and modern favorites. Every Friday night from 9–10 PM Eastern Time, he digs beyond the familiar hits as host of Deep Cut Nights. He appreciates every listener who spends part of the day with WRKN and never takes that support for granted. Away from the studio, Lloyd likes bike riding, discovering music he may have missed the first time around and spending time outdoors. For him, radio remains one of the best ways to share music, stories and a genuine love of rock.

Jessica Fox grew up in Providence, Rhode Island, with rock radio always playing somewhere nearby. She met Erik Lewis while they were both interning at a small Providence-area radio station, where they learned the less glamorous side of the business—organizing music, helping with production and taking any chance they could get to sit behind a microphone. The friendship stuck, and so did Jessica’s love of radio. Today, she and Erik still share the same well-used home studio, trading ideas, discovering new music and helping each other get every break just right. Jessica may be one of the younger voices at WRKN, but she brings real enthusiasm for classic, hard and modern rock and is excited to grow as a part-time member of the station. Away from radio, she enjoys swimming, Pilates, shopping and trying new places to eat. She is married and loves spending time with her husband Mike and their three-year-old daughter Amelia.

Erik Lewis also grew up in Providence, Rhode Island, and first connected with Jessica Fox when the two landed internships at the same small Providence-area radio station. Long hours around records, production equipment and working DJs turned a shared interest into a lasting friendship—and convinced Erik that radio was something he wanted to keep in his life. He now records from the same home studio as Jessica, a comfortable and decidedly lived-in space where the two compare playlists and share ideas. Erik is proud to join WRKN part-time and brings a younger perspective without losing sight of the riffs, albums and personalities that made rock radio great. When he is away from the microphone, he enjoys kayaking, snowboarding, seeking out good cuisine and making trips to Las Vegas whenever he gets the chance.
